San Paolo Pub in Piazza del Campo is one of the oldest bars in the ancient hill town of Siena, dating back to the late 1800s. For the people of that time, it was an important place to enjoy and sell wine.
幸運之夜
當時還只是酒吧樓下餐廳服務生——現任老闆Pietro先生的祖父，在一個工作日結束後，脫下了他的服務生制服，與餐廳老闆、同事和一小群典型的古代高貴錫耶納人，他們圍繞在桌旁，花了一整個晚上玩著賭博卡。
在這個幸運眷顧的夜晚，他最終贏得了聖保羅酒吧的所有權。
The Lucky Night
At that time, he was just a waiter at the restaurant below the pub—Mr. Pietro’s grandfather, the current owner. After a workday ended, he took off his waiter uniform and, along with the restaurant owner, colleagues, and a small group of typical ancient noble Sienese, gathered around a table and spent the entire evening playing gambling cards. On this fortunate night, he eventually won the ownership of the San Paolo Pub.
酒與賽馬
在那之後，聖保羅酒吧作為當地最重要的酒吧，同時扮演紀錄者的角色，講述著錫耶納歷史與居民的日常生活。至今依然眾所周知的聖保羅酒吧，與著名賽馬傳統合而為一後，成為了當地重要的精神象徵。
Wine and Horse Racing
After that, the San Paolo Bar became the most important bar in the area, also playing the role of a chronicler, narrating the history of Siena and the daily lives of its residents. To this day, the well-known San Paolo Pub, merged with the famous horse racing tradition, has become an important spiritual symbol of the area.
