Siena的賽馬會與世仇
在賽馬會勝利的旗幟就叫palio，在賽馬會開始前的2個多月就要抽出十區出來，而Siena共有十七個區（contrada)。
2018年時因valdimontone山羊區與nicchio貝殼區起爭執，被取消2019年的資格，這兩區本來就是世仇，常常因賽馬打架。
2019年這兩區都不能出賽，因此多抽了一區替代他們，但其實Siena的每一區都會有世仇區，接近比賽時高漲的情緒總是會激化世仇。
Story of Horse race in Siena
The victory banner at the horse race is called the palio. More than two months before the race begins, ten districts are drawn, and Siena has a total of seventeen districts (contrade).
In 2018, due to a dispute between the Valdimontone (Ram) district and the Nicchio (Shell) district, they were disqualified from the 2019 race. These two districts have always been arch-enemies and often fight because of the horse race.
In 2019, neither of these two districts could participate, so an additional district was drawn to replace them. However, every district in Siena has its own arch-enemy, and the heightened emotions as the race approaches always intensify these rivalries.

2019年八月賽馬，在比賽進行中，一路幾乎是常勝軍毛毛蟲區(bruco)騎士Brio搶在領先位置。
準備衝線前Brio也很開心以為自己贏定了，連賽事轉播的主播都報導bruco贏。在終點前，Brio手都已經舉起來了，準備迎接勝利以及毛毛蟲區居民的歡呼。
毛毛蟲圈的騎師Brio過去贏了好幾次賽馬了，所以大家根本以為他穩贏了。
2019 Horse Racing
In the August 2019 horse race, the rider Brio from the Bruco (Caterpillar) district, who is almost always a champion, was leading throughout the race. Before crossing the finish line, Brio was very happy, thinking he had secured the victory. Even the race commentator reported that Bruco had won. Just before the finish line, Brio had already raised his hand, ready to celebrate the victory and the cheers of the Bruco residents. Brio, the rider from the Bruco district, had won several horse races in the past, so everyone thought he was sure to win.
賽馬Remorex
Remorex是森林區（selva)的賽馬，但他們的代表動物是犀牛，所以也稱為犀牛區。
Remorex一出場過了沒多久便把騎士（fantino）摔出去，由於Remorex贏的機率很低，加上這匹馬一直都不被看好，因為沒有人會想到Remorex在沒有騎師的狀況底下會跑在哪裡。
正常而言，賽馬在沒有騎師操控的狀況下，他們不太會跑。有的會自己停下來，或是開始慢慢走。
Racehorse-Remorex
Remorex is the racehorse of the Selva (Forest) district, but their representative animal is the rhinoceros, so they are also called the Rhino district.
Shortly after the race started, Remorex threw off his jockey (fantino). Since Remorex had a very low chance of winning and was generally not favored, no one expected that Remorex would know where to run without a jockey.
Normally, racehorses do not run well without a jockey’s control. Some will stop on their own, or start walking slowly.
衝線
在最後衝線時，毛毛蟲區騎士Brio以為自己贏定了，終點前，他手都已經舉起來了。這時候Remorex這隻背上沒有騎師的馬奮力追上，兩匹馬齊行，直到終點線前。Remorex就像知道終點一般，用牠的鼻子向前一頂，率先衝線。
Cross the finish line
As they approached the finish line, Brio, the rider from the Bruco (Caterpillar) district, thought he had secured the victory. Just before the finish line, he had already raised his hand in celebration. At that moment, Remorex, the horse without a jockey, made a determined effort to catch up. The two horses ran neck and neck until the finish line. Remorex, as if knowing where the finish line was, thrust his nose forward and crossed the line first.
判決與明星的誕生
衝線當下其實毛毛蟲區的人都已經歡呼，因沒有人會想到Remorex沒騎師還能跑贏，毛毛蟲區的人已經跑去領Palio（勝利之旗幟就叫palio）。但這時裁判喊卡。請他們等等判決結果。全毛毛蟲區的人擠到主審台下方開始抗議，躁動，推擠打架。
最後宣判森林區以無騎師（以scosso的方式）獲勝，就贏了那麼一個鼻子寬。毛毛蟲區的居民哭成一團，尤其是毛毛蟲區騎士Brio。大家根本以為他穩贏了，重點他自己也沒感覺到remorex超過他一個鼻頭。
原本沒人看好的森林區，騎師在一開始就摔了。但Remorex這匹賽馬，最後那一圈奮力的跑，身上沒有騎師但還是超賣力，是一匹很難得的馬。
森林區大肆慶祝歡呼，Remorex 因此成為明星馬。
The Birth of a Star
As they crossed the finish line, the people of the Bruco (Caterpillar) district were already cheering, as no one expected Remorex to win without a jockey. The Bruco residents had already gone to claim the Palio (the victory banner). But then the judges called for a halt and asked them to wait for the final decision. The entire Bruco district crowded below the main judge’s stand, protesting, agitated, pushing, and fighting.
Finally, it was declared that the Selva (Forest) district had won without a jockey (in the scosso manner), winning by just a nose. The residents of the Bruco district were in tears, especially Brio, the Bruco rider. Everyone thought he had a sure win, and he himself didn’t even realize that Remorex had passed him by a nose.
The Selva district, which was not favored to win, had their jockey thrown off at the beginning. But Remorex, the racehorse, ran the final lap with great effort, even without a jockey, showing incredible determination.
The Selva district celebrated wildly, and Remorex became a star horse.
賽後的津津樂道
在賽前與比賽中所有的激情，在賽後大家還是歡慶著，進到一間間的Siena餐廳裡，討論著賽馬會發生的種種。
這樣子開著一瓶2019年的Toscana Rosso IGT，把各種料理擺出來，邊愉快的講著2019年賽馬會英雄Remorex的大逆轉事蹟，邊大快朵頤，就是托斯卡尼大區名城Siena居民的日常。

In Tuscany, red wine must be paired with delicious food. Unlike Bordeaux and Burgundy wines from France, which are mainly for solo drinking, Tuscan red wine allows the flavors of the dishes to be fully showcased.
